Ranger Don Love & K9 Yote

K9 Yote is a 2.5-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd cross trained and certified in suspect apprehension, handler protection, narcotics detection, and article detection. He is partnered with Bureau of Land Management Ranger Love in Colorado.

Since joining the team in November 2025, K9 Yote and Ranger Love have completed more than 500 hours of specialized training and continue to develop their skills through ongoing training and operational deployments. Known for his strong work ethic, intelligence, and eagerness to learn, K9 Yote thrives in his role and approaches every task with enthusiasm and determination.

His drive and commitment to the mission have contributed to several significant narcotics seizures, helping keep local communities and public lands safe.

When off duty, K9 Yote enjoys hiking, playing in the creek, and chewing on his favorite Kong toy. Through his dedication, intelligence, and unwavering work ethic, K9 Yote has become a valued member of the Bureau of Land Management team and a trusted partner in serving and protecting the public.
